This privacy policy explains how Mordelt Healthcare Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the Life in the UK Practice app and passthelifeintheuk.com (the “Service”). We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.
Contact: support@passthelifeintheuk.com
Company: Mordelt Healthcare Ltd.
We have built the Service to need as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use it, we may process:
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name unless you choose to include it when you email support.
The free tier of the app is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob and Google may collect and use device identifiers and similar information, and may show either personalised or non-personalised ads depending on your choices and your region.
On first launch you may be asked, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether to allow tracking. You can decline, and you can change this at any time in your device settings under Privacy and Tracking. For details on how Google uses this data, see Google’s Privacy & Terms at policies.google.com.
Payments are handled by Apple. Our partner RevenueCat manages your entitlements so the app knows which tier you have unlocked and can restore it across reinstalls. RevenueCat receives a purchase token and an anonymous app user identifier, not your payment details.
We use the information above to:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
In the app. Open Settings → Delete all my data. Tapping this removes your saved progress, mock history, mistakes list, flashcard outcomes, and preferences from this device. Because your progress is stored on-device (not in our cloud), deleting on the device deletes it entirely on our side too.
Analytics data (PostHog). We record only anonymous, per-install analytics events (screen names and event names, no name, email, scores, or exam date). If you want the anonymous install identifier that PostHog associates with your usage removed from PostHog’s servers, email us at info@mordelthealthcare.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. We will process the request through PostHog’s data-deletion API within 30 days of receipt.
Purchases. Purchase and receipt records held by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat are retained as required by Apple’s App Store policies and by tax and accounting law, and may not be deletable while those legal obligations apply.
Ad tracking (ATT). If you previously allowed app-tracking on iOS and want to revoke that permission, open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, find “Life in the UK” in the list, and turn the switch off. Ads will continue to appear but will no longer be personalised.
Personalised advertising. Google’s ad choices are managed at adssettings.google.com.
Analytics. Ads and analytics tracking is turned off automatically if you do not grant ATT permission on iOS. You can also uninstall the app to stop all data collection.
For users in the UK / EU / EEA, you additionally have the right to request access to, rectification of, or restriction of processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk). Contact us at info@mordelthealthcare.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days.
The app is intended for adults preparing for the Life in the UK test and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes here and update the date at the top.
